Overview


Equipment Groups form the second-highest level in the equipment hierarchy. They are used to logically organize multiple Equipment (Tier 3 assets) that share similar functions, processes, or operational zones within a production line. The Equipment Group page has several tabs:

Add Equipment Group


Click on + Equipment Group in the top right corner of the Maintenance Equipment page to open up the Add New Equipment Group” popup form.

Fill in all required fields denoted with * before hitting the Save button on the bottom of the popup form. If required fields have not all been filled, a popup will inform the user of the missing field(s) and red outlines will appear on the left side of each missing field. Upon successfully creating the Equipment Group, users will be prompted with a popup confirming the new Equipment Group has been added.

Edit Equipment Group


Click on Pencil Icon in the top right corner of the Equipment Group container ****to open up the Edit(Tier2) popup form.

Adjust desired fields and ensure that all required fields denoted with * are filled in before hitting the Save button on the bottom of the popup form. If required fields have not all been filled, a popup will inform the user of the missing field(s) and red outlines will appear on the left side of each missing field.

Upon successfully editing the Equipment Group, users will be prompted with a popup confirming the Equipment Group has been edited.

Edit Asset Tree


Each Equipment Group and Equipment has an associated tree that allows users to easily identify the positions and names of the corresponding Equipment and Components that belong to the parent respectively. The tree contains a “drag and drop” component that allows users to customize their trees to best suit how the company’s hierarchy is managed within an Equipment Group or Equipment.

Adding Nodes

To add nodes to a tree, click on the Pencil Icon below the tree/image inside the selected container. The tree should now be highlighted with a blue border to indicate it is in adding/editing mode. Simply click the Grey Circle Icon with a ‘+’ on the inside and a new node will be populated with the next integer**.** The node should now be in the tree and the user can hit the Save Icon below the tree to save all changes.

Moving Nodes

To add nodes to a tree, click on the Pencil Icon below the tree/image inside the selected container. The tree should now be highlighted with a blue border to indicate it is in adding/editing mode. Click two times on the node that is to be moved and hold the mouse down on the second of the two clicks. The cursor should indicate a grabbing motion now**.** Drag the node to its desired location within the tree and repeat this process for any other nodes that need to be moved. Once the user is finished and all nodes are in the desired places, the user can hit the Save Icon below the tree to save all changes.

Deleting Nodes

To remove any unwanted nodes within a tree, click on the Trash Icon below the tree/image inside the selected container. The tree should now be highlighted with a red border to indicate it is in deletion mode. Simply double-click the desired node to prompt a deletion confirmation popup and hit Delete. The node should now be removed from the tree and the user can hit the Save Icon below the tree to save all changes.
