The Maintenance Equipment pages act as a centralized hub for managing and accessing detailed information about production assets. Featuring a tiered, tree-style layout, the interface allows for navigation and location of specific equipment throughout the plant. Users can browse the equipment hierarchy using the panel on the left, with detailed information for the selected asset displayed on the right.

Each asset tier presents detailed, specialized information, including:
Assets can be easily added, modified, or removed using the intuitive user interface. Additionally, assets can be linked through parent-child relationships, enabling quick and seamless access to related information across all tiers.
The equipment hierarchy is organized into five distinct tiers:
Production lines represent the top level in the equipment hierarchy. Each production line includes all related assets and components that form the line used in manufacturing operations. A production line is typically composed of multiple Equipment Groups (Tier 2 assets).

Production lines cannot be created through the MES UI. Please contact your software provider if production lines need to be altered, created, or removed.

Equipment Groups form the second-highest level in the equipment hierarchy. They are used to logically organize multiple Equipment (Tier 3 assets) that share similar functions, processes, or operational zones within a production line.

Equipment represents the third level in the equipment hierarchy and refers to individual machines or systems used in production. Each Equipment asset consists of related Components (Tier 4 assets) and is categorized under an Equipment Group (Tier 2 asset) for better organizational structure.

Sub Equipment represents the fourth level in the equipment hierarchy and refers to distinct functional sections or subsystems that make up a larger piece of Equipment (Tier 3 asset). These components are critical for more granular tracking, maintenance, and documentation.

Device Tags are the lowest organizational level within a company’s equipment ledger. These are the various unique working parts that make up a Component. Each Device Tag has an associated Spare Part that can be used to replace the currently existing part within a Component. The MES allows users to create, edit, and delete Device Tags while linking them to their respective Component (tier 4 assets).
