Overview

Spare Parts represent the fifth and lowest level in the equipment hierarchy. These are the individual working components that make up a Sub Equipment (Tier 4 asset). Spare Parts are essential for detailed tracking, maintenance, and inventory management.

Each Spare Part record contains the following information:

Device Tag

Unique ID shown in the schematic (e.g., VFD001 for a VFD).
Device Tag Position Code

Indicates the part’s position in the explosion diagram.
Part Name

The name of the spare part.
Part Code

The unique code for the spare part.
Device Quantity

Number of units needed in the Sub Equipment.
Vendor Suggested Service Days

Recommended maintenance interval from the vendor.
Actual Estimated Service Days

Updated by the system or user based on real usage.
Auto Trigger Cycle

If enabled, creates a work order automatically for replacement.

Add Tier 5 Spare Parts

To add tier 5 spare parts:

Click on + Tier 4 Equipment/Tier 5 Parts Button in the top right corner of the Tier 3 Sub Equipment - Sub Items tab to open up the Add New Component(T4) / Spare Parts(T5) popup form.
Click the + Icon to open the Add New Device Tag form

Add Spare Part User Interface

Fill in all required fields marked with * before clicking the Save button. If any required fields are missing, a popup will notify the user, and red outlines will highlight the incomplete fields. Once successfully saved, the new Device Tag will be confirmed via a popup.

Edit Tier 5 Spare Part

You can edit an existing Tier 5 spare part by:

Navigate to the Tier 4 Sub Equipment - Sub Items tab.
Click the PencilExisting Component radio button.
Select the existing component you want to edit, and enter description.
Click Save Button.

Delete Tier 5 Spare Part

You can delete a Tier 4 sub equipment by:

On the Tier 3 Sub Equipment - Sub Items tab, click the Tier 4 Sub Equipment you want to delete.
Click the three dots icon on the top right corner.
Click Delete Button, and confirm deletion in the popup window.
