Overview

Sub Equipment represents the fourth level in the equipment hierarchy and refers to distinct functional sections or subsystems that make up a larger piece of Equipment (Tier 3 asset). These components are critical for more granular tracking, maintenance, and documentation. The Sub Equipment has several tabs:

General

The General tab contains information about the Sub Equipment such as name, code, description, and images
Sub Items

The Sub Items tab contains the relevant Spare Parts (tier 5 assets) associated to the given Sub Equipment.
Maintenance History

The Maintenance History contains Tier 5 Spare Parts’ installation date, life span and other information.

Add Tier 4 Sub Equipment

Click on + Tier 4 Equipment/Tier 5 Parts Button in the top right corner of the Tier 3 Sub Equipment - Sub Items tab to open up the Add New Component(T4) / Spare Parts(T5) popup form.

Add Equipment User Interface

Fill in all required fields denoted with * before hitting the Save button on the bottom of the popup form. If required fields have not all been filled, a popup will inform the user of the missing field(s) and red outlines will appear on the left side of each missing field. Upon successfully creating the Equipment, users will be prompted with a popup confirming the new Equipment has been added.

Edit Tier 4 Sub Equipment

You can only edit the description of an existing Tier 4 sub equipment by:

Click on + Tier 4 Equipment/Tier 5 Parts Button in the top right corner of the Tier 3 Sub Equipment - Sub Items tab to open up the Add New Component(T4) / Spare Parts(T5) popup form.
Choose Existing Component radio button.
Select the existing component you want to edit, and enter description.
Click Save Button.

Delete Tier 4 Sub Equipment

You can delete a Tier 4 sub equipment by:

On the Tier 3 Sub Equipment - Sub Items tab, click the Tier 4 Sub Equipment you want to delete.
Click the three dots icon on the top right corner.
Click Delete Button, and confirm deletion in the popup window.
